Cleansers

There are many OTC cleansers, however most do not have the strength to combat the type of bacteria and mites that can infest the lashes. There are home remedy versions such as baby shampoo, but it can still have preservatives that are too harsh for the sensitive lid margin.

Soaps are applied to remove debris from the lashes and then rinsed. We use tea tree oil soaps.

Hypochlorous Acid is something the body produces naturally that has a greater than 99% kill rate. This should be applied to the lashes and lid margin liberally and allowed to dry.

4-Terpineol in Cliradex is the element within tea tree oil that is most effective against the mite Demodex. This is a preservative free, natural product that should be applied to the outside of the lids only and allowed to dry. An intense tingling sensation is expected.
